Gunbuster

Gunbuster is a 30min, 6 epesode OAV sires produced by Gainax in 1988 and was the first show directed by Hideaki Anno, who later went out to do fine works such as Nadia; the secret of blue water, RE; Cutie Honey and a few other lesser known things but the is usually known as the directer of neon genesis evangelian.

Noriko Takaya, the protagonist of Gunbuster is a young girl trying to follow in her faters footsteps and become a space pilot, problem is she sucks at controlling the mechs called RX-7's. idolising the top student in the training acdemy "Kazumi Amano" Noriko wishes to be chosen as the second pilot to go on to a real mission and accompany kazumi but lacks any skill and fighting spirit, luckily Coach realizes Noriko's potential and so he begins to give her personal training to control the RX-7.
Gunbuster is one of my favorite shows and for good reason the character design is good but gets over shadowed by the awesome mech design, but the thing that i really loved about gunbuster was when every time Noriko returend to earth from space and you can see how her fiend from the academy aged and how the city had changed. If i had to choose one thing a did not like about gunbuster it has got to be the nudity, yes it was a small amount but i just felt like it was out of place like they just tacked on sum boobs to get more sales and i just felt it was totally unnecessary. Besides the small amount of nudity i have absolutely no other problem with gunbuster in fact i absolutely love gunbuster and i think anyone a mecha fan or not will find gunbuster a very satisfying watch.

Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind

Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind is a movie by studio Topcaft but is considered to be the beginning of studio Ghibli and is directed by Hayao Miyazaki, originally released March 4, 1984 in japan run time is about 113 minutes. The story starts of with a young girl exploring a jungle and right off the bat you can see that the movie is beautifully animated it makes you feel like the people are just a small part in this huge world inhabited by giant insects, soon after you find out that the young girl is named Nausicaa and is the princess of the valley of the wind and the jungle is called the toxic jungle and covers most of the planet and is causing the extinction of mankind. so after most of the main characters are introduced a airship from Tolmekia crashes on the side of the cliffs and turns out to be carrying a Giant Warrior one of the lethal giant creatures used in the ancient war, that was buried in the ground but dug out by the kingdom of Pejite and now that the giant warrior is in the valley of the wind it is now up to Nausicaa to stop all the killing between the kingdoms and the insects that guard the jungle the Ohmu, will she be able to stop the war between Tolmekia and Pejite and even if she can will she be able to fine a way to coexist with the insets?

I felt that the story was well done it really felt like the world was alive and it really kept my attention thought the whole time, the only thing i can think of that i did not like about the story is that it had environmental undertones it felt a bit preachy at times but other than that the story was fantastic. The art style is very much like all other Ghibli movies and so is the animation, very well done you can tell they put alot of work into the details. I felt that some characters could of been more developed but i think Nousicaa is very well defined you can realy feel her pain and were shes coming from. This movie is classified as a Adventure, Drama, Fantasy and Science Fiction and does each genre very well, there is plenty of adventure and drama and as for the fantasy and science fiction it feels like Hayao Miyazaki really put alot of thought into this world. Did i enjoy this movie well yes i did, actually i really liked it a lot i could hardly take my eyes off it.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time ....... Well the title says it all don't it, talking about this movie is hard because i could easily spoil the whole thing and this movie is best watching it the first time around but somethings i can say is this movie is so beautifully animated that my favorite part was when they were just playing catch just cause its very well done. if you want to bring someone into anime this is it cause its not to weird yet its still different than american animation, infact this is a good anime 2 watch as a couple because the story is nice and romantic but it still has sum humor. I absolutely loved this movie and highly recommend that everyone watches it at least one time.

Girls Bravo (anime version only)

girls bravo is about a boy named Yukinari Sasaki who has been getting bullied by girls all his life and thus breaks out in hives whenever he comes in contact with one. Ok so he ends up getting kicked into his bathtub and is magically transported to a bathtub in another planet named Seiren wich is mostly populated by females "its like 99.9% females seriously" so anyways he gets back to earth and Miharu ends up getting to earth as well "Miharu is a cute female alien". Well like most moe characters Miharu is really really stupid "she does not understand earth logic but every one else from Seiren instantly understands" she also has some magical power that gets activated when she sneezes "everyone on earth just ignores this"blah blah blah the story is completely retarded the only reason you should watch this is for two things tits and ass yes if girls bravo does anything good its fan service. if anything watch the last ep it completely changed into abadass fighting show idk wtf overall don't buy it maybe for $5

Super short review of Blue Heaven

i dont think Blue Heaven is Licensed in america so i put a link up on the title. I was looking 4 a quick read 2day and happen 2 find blue heaven just 24 chapters long this manga is reasonably short but it is quite good. blue heaven is a luxury cruise ship that gets thrown into chaos when a rescued man turns out 2 be a killer. Throughout the story the manga touches on many things like humanity, death, racism, terrorism, love, and a few other things overall i must say it was a good read and is worth checking out its short & takes little time 2 read actually if anything the only thing i didn't like was it might have been a little 2 short i would of liked at least 1 more volume.

Kiki's Delivery Service

Kiki's Delivery Service is about a 13 year old witch in training. the story is basically a bout how kiki must learn how to cope being on her own in a big city, at first she finds it quite difficult and is thinking of leaving 2 search 4 a different city were people would treat her more kindly but then she meets the wife of a baker and ends up staying with them and decides to start a deliveey service that takes advantage of her ability to fly, through her delivery service not only does she encounter people but she finds that delivering items is harder than it seems and atop of that she still must deal with being homesick, lonely, and losing her powers.

I have absolutely nothing negative to say about kiki's delivery service. The animation was good, the music was good, the plot was good and the characters were good. the only thing that bugged me was that she didn't really use any magic except flying on her broom and talking to her cat jiji but that's not really a problem with the movie. some thing i really liked about the movie was how they incorporated the credits in the beginning the credits start after kiki tells jiji to turn on the radio and the music start and the credits start rolling, in the end of the movie i liked how the story continued while the credits were going, not only did i like the credits but the light comedy kept a smile on my face.

Over all i really enjoyed Kiki's Delivery Service i found my self quite entertained throughout the entire movie and i think that everyone should watch this one anime fan or not.
